WORKING PRINCIPLE
A magnetic stirrer water bath comes with two different functions in-built in a single instrument; content temperature of a water bath and magnetic stirring of liquid in the flask.
Important parts of a Magnetic Stirrer Water Bath:
- Stainless Steel Tank: Corrosion resistant stainless steel 304 tank which contains the water
- Flask Clamps: Stainless steel spring loaded clamps to fit conical flasks
- Magnetic Drive: Magnetic drive mechanism is responsible to rotate stir bar in the flask. It is fitted with magnet and DC drive motor on behind bottom of the tank.
- Stir Bar: Teflon coated magnetic bar to stir the liquid in the flask
- Speed Regulator: Speed regulator with knob controls the speed of stirring
- Heating Element: Tubular immersion heating elements fitted in the tank to heat the water
- Temperature Controller: Microprocessor based PID temperature controller with PT100 sensor controls the temperature in the water bath
- Water Circulation: Inner tank water circulation is done by DC motor driven stirrer or magnetic pump in order to distribute uniform temperature across the tank
