Hot Air Sterilizer Oven
Another medium of sterilization is dry heat and the equipment used for this purpose is called hot air sterilizer. Other popular names of hot air sterilizer are hot air oven, dry heat sterilizer and laboratory oven etc. A hot air sterilizer is an ideal choice for samples that are at risk of corrosion, it is also suitable for sterilizing medical instruments, glassware, powder, packaging items, paper and textile etc.
Advantage of Dry Heat Sterilization
The biggest advantage of dry heat sterilization is corrosion proof sterilization; as moisture is eliminated in this process, the chance of corrosion is minimized or almost zero.
Types of Hot Air Sterilizer
A hot air sterilizer or dry heat sterilizer comes in two types; Forced Air and Static Air (Gravity). In forced air sterilizer, there is a fan fitted inside the chamber which is responsible for uniform distribution of air inside the chamber. In static air sterilizer (gravity sterilizer), air distribution is natural and based on gravity power. Gravity ovens are ideal for powder samples that may scatter by high or little air flow.
Stericox™ Hot Air Sterilizers
Stericox is a leading hot air sterilizer manufacturer in India. Also known as laboratory ovens, these sterilizers are cost effective and designed in various sizes and chamber dimensions. Temperature range is room temperature to 200°C, which is controlled through digital PID controller for utmost accuracy.
Forced air circulation ensures stable and uniform temperature throughout the chamber, for this propeller fan is fitted on the rear wall of internal chamber. Number of fans may vary from 1, 2 or 3, depending upon the size of the unit.
Stericox believes that a hot air sterilizer or hot air oven must have attractive design, rugged construction and easy to clean surface. Internal chamber is corrosion resistant and made of stainless steel. Corners are such designed that cleaning becomes an easy job. Exterior chamber is made of either powder coated mild steel or stainless steel. For easy mobility caster wheels with lock are fitted at the bottom.
Safety is important part on which Stericox concentrates most; each hot air sterilizer is fitted with over temperature protection device (safety thermostat).
